Before starting minoxidil, I wish I knew that initial shedding is common and can be alarming but is usually temporary. Consistent, long-term use is necessary to see results, and stopping the treatment can cause any regrown hair to fall out. Additionally, some people may experience scalp irritation or unwanted hair growth on other areas.
