Vemlidy (tenofovir alafenamide) should not be taken with other medications that contain tenofovir, such as Viread or certain combination HIV medicines, to avoid overdose and increased side effects. It should also not be used with strong P-glycoprotein inducers like rifampin or St. John’s wort, as these can reduce its effectiveness. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting new medications.
