Long-term use of Lotemax (loteprednol etabonate), an ophthalmic corticosteroid, can increase the risk of developing glaucoma, cataracts, and secondary eye infections. Prolonged use may also delay healing of the eye. Regular monitoring by an eye doctor is recommended during extended treatment.
