Metoclopramide is a medication used to treat nausea and vomiting, including that caused by chemotherapy, surgery, or certain medical conditions. It is also used to help with delayed stomach emptying (gastroparesis) in people with diabetes. Additionally, it can be prescribed for heartburn or gastroesophageal reflux when other treatments have not worked.
