Welchol can interact with cyclosporine, olmesartan, phenytoin, norethindrone, thyroid medications like levothyroxine, birth control pills, multivitamins, warfarin (Coumadin, Jantoven), and certain oral diabetes medicines such as glyburide, tolazamide, tolbutamide, glimepiride, glipizide, chlorpropamide, metformin ER, and sulfonylureas. Drug interactions can affect the safety and effectiveness of your medications.
