Anucort (hydrocortisone rectal suppository) helps reduce inflammation, itching, and discomfort caused by hemorrhoids, but it does not get rid of hemorrhoids completely. It treats symptoms rather than curing the underlying condition. For persistent hemorrhoids, further treatment may be necessary.
