Wellbutrin should not be used by individuals with seizure disorders, those taking other forms of bupropion (like Zyban, Aplenzin, Budeprion, or Forfivo), those with a history of anorexia nervosa or bulimia, those currently taking or recently stopping monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), those allergic to bupropion or its ingredients, or those undergoing abrupt discontinuation of alcohol or sedatives. Recognizing contraindications reduces the risk of dangerous side effects or interactions.
