Caplyta (lumateperone) was most recently approved by the FDA for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) in adults, either as monotherapy or as adjunctive therapy with antidepressants. This approval was granted in December 2023. Previously, Caplyta was approved for schizophrenia and bipolar depression.
