You can use Tymlos (abaloparatide) for up to 2 years during your lifetime. This is because using it for longer periods may increase the risk of bone cancer (osteosarcoma) as seen in animal studies. After completing 2 years, your doctor may recommend switching to another osteoporosis treatment to maintain bone density.
