Tymlos (abaloparatide) is limited to 2 years of use because long-term use may increase the risk of osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer, as seen in animal studies. To minimize this potential risk, treatment duration is restricted to a maximum of 2 years over a patient’s lifetime.
