Tirzepatide can cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation, especially when starting treatment. It may also increase the risk of low blood sugar when used with other diabetes medications and has a potential risk of causing thyroid tumors, including medullary thyroid carcinoma. Some people may experience allergic reactions or injection site reactions. These are not all of the possible side effects. Talk to your healthcare provider if you have any questions or concerns about this medication.
