No, it is not likely that apixaban will cause diarrhea. It wasn’t a reported side effect in clinical trials. If you develop diarrhea while taking apixaban, it is probably due to another cause. Contact your healthcare provider if you experience this or any other bothersome side effect while on apixaban.
